Animation Continued Set-16th January 2009 Due- Ongoing

Continue thinking up ideas to use in class. This will help you to concentrate on using the animation tools in class rather than what picture to create, where things need to go on the page and also what colours you want things to be. If you want to plan the sequences on more than one page GREAT!

Animation homework- 9th January 2009- Due 16th January 2009

To draw a picture to use with the animation program (2Animate) You need to think about what things are going to change or move on your page. You can write notes or arrows to remind you what things you want to change. Don't forget to bring in the picture to next Fridays lesson. If you are not sure think about the cartoons you watch and Wallace and Gromet, or even the flick books where you make something move.
Ways to present your work.
1 Use the paint program on your PC/ Mac's at home ( This can be found on all computers- click on start/all programs/accessories/paint)
2 Use any other drawing package you may have on your computer as long as you can save as bitmap (.bmp) file or as JPEG (.jpeg)
3 Use the computers at the ends of class lesson, during breakfast club or after school club if you go. You can use paint, 2paint a picture, artrage or any other program that you can find. Please note if you use a computer at home you need to have access to your work at school so a pen drive to transfer your work is needed, you could also e-mail the document to yourself or print it out.
4 If all else fails -Good old fashioned coloured pencil/crayon/pen and paper :-)

PowerPoint Presentation Homework Set- Last term Due by Feb 1/2 Term

To create a PowerPoint presentation about your family and or friend. Create a contents page and make links to all relevant pages in your presentation. You can use publisher or word if PowerPoint is not available.

MSW Logo Set 9th January Due: Continued each week until end of 1/2 term

Download MSW Logo from the MICROSOFT site http://www.microsoft.com/ Type MSW Logo in their search box and this will link you to the free download page. Install version for your computer. Check with your parents if you are not sure. Practice the work that we do in class, so as we move on and the commands get harder you don't get flustered. Search on the Internet for commands to make things on logo. There are loads of things out there. Don't forget to use the Help menu along the top Happy searching! :-)

PowerPoint Homework Set- Beginning Sept Due- ONGOING ALL YEAR

Continue to create new slides to add to your Help File PowerPoint. We will be using this all year and any new skill you learn whether at school or home and even friends and family you can create a how to... slide so you don't forget.
This is an on going project if you create slides at home don't forget to put them on you pen drive and add them to your presentation at school.
If you don't have a pen drive you could e-mail them to your self and open them at school and then add them.
We still have machines that have floppy discs drives or you could burn it to CD-Rom.
If all of this seams to mind blowing you could have two separate PowerPoint's and at the end of the year we will burn them to disc so you can merge them together.
Hopefully you will find this useful as you embark on your new journey at secondary school and you could continue to use it to add any new skills you learn. That way, you don't have to try and remember everything :-)
